March 30 – April 1, 2009. International Consensus Workshop: Convergence on an Orofacial Pain Taxonomy. Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Miami, Florida. This 2.5 day closed workshop, cosponsored by the Orofacial Pain SIG of the IASP and partially funded by the CIHR, has the goal of developing the next version of the RDC/TMD and to start the process of a formal orofacial pain taxonomy. This is the first of many planned workshops of its type, to be jointly sponsored by the Consortium and the Orofacial Pain SIG. Consortium members are invited to become actively involved with subsequent workshops.
July 2, 2008. Validation Studies of the RDC/TMD: Progress toward Version 2. Held during the IADR, Toronto, Canada. This 1-day symposium was well-attended with room capacity exceeded. The presentations will be published as a Proceedings by the Journal of Oral Rehabilitation.
